WHO WE ARE
Meet our Friendly folks! We are…..
Ricky Mollohan, Owner
- When not playing superintendent/plumber/electrician/therapist/etc for us, Ricky lives with his wife Erica, their three children Max, Zoey, and Claire, and two beagles Ruby and Rosy. He will go toe-to-toe with you on Star Wars trivia and has an unhealthy obsession with Braves baseball and Carolina Gamecocks sports all year, but this nerd is the glue holding this place together!
Harold Ham, Owner
Blake Justice, General Manager
- Our Jack-of-all-trades fearless leader Blake has been with our company for twelve years, first as General Manager of the late great Solstice Kitchen & Wine Bar, and now as GM of Mr. Friendly’s! Blake and his wife Haley and son Eli love spending time with their fur babies, cooking, and getting by the water as often as possible. Wanna talk wine? He’s your guy! And if you throw in some Legos he might just have a special bottle for ya – yes, we are a staff full of nerds, folks.
Justin Matthews, Bar Manager
- A fixture – nay, an ICON – of the Five Points fine dining scene for over 20 years, Justin is our bartender extraordinaire. Loved by most, envied by many, he can make a mean martini and recommend the perfect wine for your dinner, all while rattling off some nonsense about Clemson Tigers football or baseball. Look for his daughter, Hannah Grace, hostessing at lunch – we truly are one big happy family here at Friendly’s!
Laurel Jeffries, Manager
- What’s got two thumbs and loves talking food & wine? THIS LADY! Laurel Jeffries is our resident wine enthusiast and manager extraordinaire, though she might love her husband Craig and children Vivian and Zane a teeny bit more than her job (but we’ll forgive her for that). Free time doesn’t come around too often for this worker bee mom, but whenever she can pack up & head to the beach, you’ll find her there with a book and a glass of rose in hand!
Robb Cobb, Head Chef & Kitchen Manager
- Hailing from Atlanta, Head Chef Robb has been a Five Points fixture since 1999, serving as Head Chef at Goats before joining the Friendly’s family in 2009. If you’ve dined with us in the last eighteen years, chances are Robb made your dinner! When he’s not making his personal favorite Mr. Friendly’s meal (our famous French Quarter Filet), you can find this music aficionado playing piano and singing , or watching his Atlanta Braves.
Chris Owens, Kitchen Manager
- Ever think to yourself, “I wonder if the chef who made this fantastic food is a giant nerd”? Well look no further than Chris Owens, everyone’s favorite wrestling loving Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast. The Lord of the Lunches loves cooking everything from Shrimp & Grits to Mr. Friendly’s Famous Meatloaf, so come in for lunch and say hi to the guy in the kitchen who is probably talking about Star Wars.
Chris Turner, Chef
- Chris “Big Daddy” Turner is our Gamecock lovin’ jack-of-all-trades in our kitchen who can grill, roast, fry, sauté, and do just about anything else to serve up your Friendly’s favorites! After work, buy Chris a Mich Ultra & a shot of tequila – and if you throw some Mexican food in the mix, he’ll love you forever…but don’t bring your cats around, because Petey the Staffordshire Terrier is not a fan.
Marco Gibson, Chef
- This 20 year veteran of service industry and Columbia, SC native keeps our kitchen going! A Governor’s School of Science & Mathematics Grad and Clemson University undergrad who ended up in Gamecock country, Marco enjoys golf and billiards, but has a hard time finding the time between his multiple fish tanks and kittens. That’s right ladies, we have a single Cat Dad who can cook up a storm for ya!
Thomas Crouch, Chef
- Resident punk-rocker and chef-by-day, artist-by-night Thomas Crouch has been cooking up deliciousness for us for two years. A true artiste, you can find his art adorning the dining room – and yes, he’d love it if you bought a piece! Thomas and his wife Amy live in Lexington, SC with their two cats, Georgio & Leandro, but the jury is still out on whether the cats are fans of the Sex Pistols.
