First off, thanks to everyone who helped to make 2009 another great year for our little family here at Mr. Friendly’s! It’s hard to believe that we have been here for 15 years already, and we certainly could not have done it without the amazing support we receive from the community. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!

Alright! Another way we like to thank all of our loyal Friends is through our e-mail specials, blogsite, and twitter. This is how we get all of the information out to you about all of our specials, discounts, and just what’s going on with us.

Next week, January 11th-16th is Restaurant Week in South Carolina. This is an opportunity for local restaurants to showcase their portfolio and offer specials for the week. For more information go to  www.restaurantweeksouthcarolina.com

For Restaurant Week, we will have a three course menu for only $25. The course options are below:

Dijon-Thyme Grilled Prestige Farms Chicken Breast with warm peach chutney                                                  A choice of Blackened Chicken, Blackened Shrimp, or Fried Oysters over Friendly’s Grits with choice of sauce Peach-Mustard BBQ Glazed Atlantic Salmon with warm peach chutney

Third Course: Chocolate-Pecan Fudge Cake with crushed toffee bars and caramel                                                              Key Lime Pie                                                                                                                                                    Peanut Butter Pie

Monday, January 18th, Mr. Friendly’s will be bringing the always popular Burger Night back! We will be using ground beef tenderloin & angus ribeye to make Monster sized burgers with a choice of three different toppings.

1. Fried green tomatoes, french quarter pimento cheese, smoky bbq sauce                                                    2. Triple cream brie, horseradish aioli, roasted red peppers                                                                             3. Blue cheese crumbles, roasted tomato ketchup, caramelized red onions

All of the burgers will come on toasted kaisers with lettuce, tomato, onion, raw fries, and slaw. They will also be cooked to order.

The following Thursday, January 20th we will be hosting another BRING YOUR OWN WINE NIGHT. No, this does not mean that you bring in wine and our staff drinks it all! Just bring in any wine you wish and there will be no corkage fee. We will still provide and wash all of your glasses as well as serve your wine and provide an excellent dinner to accompany it.

The week of January 25th-30th we will be celebrating SWINE & WINE WEEK. This will be our first official endeavor into the realm of pairing incredible “swine” oriented dishes with incredible wine. Keep checking back to this blog or our e-mails for more details on this week’s specials.

Lastly, we will be open for Valentine’s Day on Sunday, February 14th for dinner. We will be serving a special menu for Valentine’s Weekend from February 12th-14th. This also means that we will be closed all day the 15th of February. We will have more details on the menu for this weekend as we get closer to the dates.
